OrbiPlace is a platform in development for digital locations on the world map. Each location has its own geographical cell and unique identity. We connect the real world to a digital layer of places, photos and stories.
An OrbiPlace digital domain is not a website address such as a .nl domain name. It belongs to a place on Earth: a digital location you can explore, enrich with information and acquire through the platform from launch.
Digital ownership concerns the location within OrbiPlace. You do not buy physical land, buildings or usage rights to the real place.

What is an OrbiPlace digital domain?
A digital domain is a unique geographical cell within OrbiPlace, linked to a real place on Earth. You can attach information, photos and links. It is neither an internet domain name nor ownership of physical land.
When does OrbiPlace launch?
The complete platform is planned to launch on January 2, 2027. This countdown ends at the start of that day, at 00:00 Central European Time (CET). You can already add the date to your calendar.
Can I buy a location now?
You cannot yet buy a location through this landing page. We are preparing the complete platform for launch. The development environment is for testing; test data and prices are not an offer on this website.
How do the cells on the world map work?
OrbiPlace uses H3, a geographical grid dividing the world into cells. Most are hexagonal and have a unique code. Area varies by location; at the chosen resolution, a cell in the Netherlands covers around 250 to 272 square metres.
What do photos and likes add to a location?
Location photos and relevant information make a place more interesting to explore. Likes show visitor interest. We are developing a model where these contributions may count towards an indicative cell value. This is not a guaranteed sale price or return.
Do I own the real location?
No. Digital ownership and the certificate concern a domain within OrbiPlace. They grant no ownership, access or other rights over the physical place, building or land.
How can I follow the launch?
Bookmark this website and add January 2, 2027 to your calendar. We will update this page as launch approaches. No personal information is needed for the countdown or calendar download.
