Discover Grenada

Grenada lies in the southeastern Caribbean north of Trinidad and Tobago. The country includes its main island as well as Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Volcanic relief and fertile areas shape different landscapes.

An island with an interior

Hills, woodland and farming are important alongside the coast. The nickname Spice Island recalls agricultural traditions, particularly nutmeg. This landscape gives the country more depth than a sequence of beaches.

St George's and the other islands

The capital occupies a sheltered southwestern harbour. Trade links connect it with the main island's interior and smaller island communities. Those places have their own histories and scales within one maritime country.
